Yakkamon has published a dedicated $FLOWER deposits page in the official docs. It sets out what a deposit actually does, what happens to your money at launch, and one safeguard that hasn’t been widely discussed.
This is the whole thing in one place — the official guideline, plus the live rate schedule from your trainer dashboard, which the docs page doesn’t include.
1. A deposit does two things, not one
This is the part people most often get wrong, and the docs are unambiguous about it. Every deposit credits your in-game balance and earns you leaderboard points. You are not trading one for the other.
The $FLOWER is held for you and waiting the moment you get access. The points are separate, and they push you toward trainer tiers, earlier access waves and the NFT airdrop.
2. What you get back, and when
Once early access opens, your deposited $FLOWER is yours to use:
- Spend it in-game — gear, crafting, hunting supplies, and the rest of the economy.
- Withdraw it with no withdrawal tax. The docs are explicit: no lock-up, no penalty for taking it back out.
3. The safeguard nobody’s talking about
Buried in the guideline is the detail most worth knowing before you deposit anything.
That’s a reasonable measure and a common one — it protects the economy from being drained in the first days. But it does mean your deposit isn’t instantly liquid on day one. If you were planning to deposit now and withdraw the moment access opens, plan for that taking longer than a single transaction.
4. The rates: what the docs don’t tell you
The guideline says bigger deposits earn exponentially more, which is accurate but vague. The actual numbers live in the deposit panel in your trainer dashboard, and there are two bonuses stacked on top of each other.
The weekly multiplier — it decays
Every $FLOWER earns points, at a rate set by which week you deposit in. The opening week pays 3×, and the rate falls 0.2× every week until it settles at 1× and stops dropping.
| Week | Dates | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aug 10–16 | 3.0× |
| 2 | Aug 17–23 | 2.8× |
| 3 | Aug 24–30 | 2.8× — held |
| 4 | Aug 31 – Sep 6 | 2.6× |
| 5 | Sep 7–13 | 2.4× |
| 6 | Sep 14–20 | 2.2× |
| 7 | Sep 21–27 | 2.0× |
| 8 | Sep 28 – Oct 4 | 1.8× |
| 9 | Oct 5–11 | 1.6× |
| 10 | Oct 12–18 | 1.4× |
| 11 | Oct 19–25 | 1.2× |
| 12+ | Oct 26 onward | 1.0× — the floor |
Rates are official — including the week-3 hold at 2.8×. The week boundaries are our calculation from the Aug 10 opening — check your own deposit panel if a date is borderline for you.
On the second dev stream the team acknowledged deposits may close while the multiplier is still around 1.2×, so the 1.0× floor may never actually be reached. What else changed →
The size bonus — it’s per deposit
Separately, larger deposits earn bonus points, and the rate doubles at every step. This is what the docs mean by exponential.
| Single deposit | Bonus rate | Points in the opening week |
|---|---|---|
| 50 $FLOWER | +10% | 150 +5 bonus |
| 500 $FLOWER | +20% | 1,500 +100 bonus |
| 5,000 $FLOWER | +40% | 15,000 +2,000 bonus |
| 50,000 $FLOWER | +80% | 150,000 +40,000 bonus |
5. What that means in practice
Both bonuses push the same way: deposit early, and in single larger transfers.
| Same 5,000 $FLOWER | Total points |
|---|---|
| One transfer, opening week | 17,000 |
| One transfer, week 6 | 13,000 |
| Ten transfers of 500, opening week | 16,000 |
| Ten transfers of 500, after the floor | 6,000 |
Same money, and a 65% swing between the best and worst way of sending it. The full tactical breakdown →
6. Where to get $FLOWER
Worth saying, since a guide about depositing is not much use if you don’t hold any. There are two routes, and one of them is free.
Earn it by playing
$FLOWER is the in-game token of Sunflower Land, the studio’s other game. You earn it by playing — selling crops, completing deliveries, competing in seasonal chapters. It’s free to start, and it means you can build a deposit without spending anything.
Slower than buying, obviously. But if you’re playing the free-to-play route anyway, it’s the only way to get deposit points without opening your wallet.
Buy it
$FLOWER already exists and trades today — Yakkamon didn’t launch a new token, so there’s nothing new to wait for. The official guideline has since been expanded on this point, and it changes the practical advice: $FLOWER is the same ERC20 token on both Base and Ronin, at one identical contract address on both chains. Deposits are accepted on either. Neither chain needs bridging — on Base you swap for it as normal, and on Ronin you can swap for it directly inside the Ronin Wallet.
Which chain you use is therefore down to where you already hold funds, not to which is the shorter route. If your money is on Ronin — where you’ll want a wallet anyway for the October mint — there’s no longer a reason to move it to Base first.
For anything to do with acquiring and depositing it, work from the official source: the Yakkamon $FLOWER deposits guideline ↗, which now publishes the contract address alongside the swap and block-explorer links for each chain, and the deposit panel in your own trainer dashboard, which carries the current rates and your deposit address.
One more thing worth knowing: $FLOWER is designed as an in-game currency rather than an investment, and Sunflower Land’s own docs say so plainly. It has a fixed supply, the team took no allocation, and its value moves. Buying it to chase leaderboard points is a decision only you can make.
7. The honest part
We’re not financial advisors and we won’t tell you whether to deposit — $FLOWER is real money, the game hasn’t launched, and that call is yours alone. Everything in pre-registration works without depositing anything, and the top 100,000 early-access cutoff is reachable free.
What we can tell you is what the rules are, and that a large deposit made early is worth tens of thousands of points, which no amount of free play matches. That’s why the very top of the leaderboard is effectively a paid bracket.
