On September 14, 10,000 hidden Genesis Yakkamon go up for free on the Ronin Launchpad. You pay gas and nothing else, you mint blind, and every one of them is revealed on October 14. Hidden in the pool are 68 Legendaries. This is the one page to read before then: what the mint is, which waves you can join, exactly what to do before September 10, and how mint day itself works.
Everything here comes from the official free mint page, the Important Dates page, the Ronin Wave page (added September 8) and the free-mint dev stream. Where we add our own reading, we say so.
Three dates, in order. September 10 — the leaderboard snapshot that builds the whitelists. September 14–18 — the mint, one wave a day. October 14 — the reveal. If you only remember one: your rank on the 10th decides which waves you can mint in, and nothing you do after that changes it.
Update, September 12. One clarification from the docs: the extra 1,500 NFTs that make the reveal total 11,500 are hidden eggs minted after the free mint and handed out at special events before the October 14 reveal — the same kind of sealed, tradable egg, just won at an event rather than minted in a wave. The five waves — and which ones are yours
The mint runs as five whitelisted waves. Each opens to a different slice of the leaderboard, and the supplies add up to 11,000 against a 10,000 collection, so later waves only get what earlier waves leave. Wave 1 is the only guaranteed one; from Wave 2 onwards it is fastest-click while supply lasts.

Our reading of the math. Waves 1 and 2 together account for 4,000 of the 10,000, and Wave 2 alone is 3,000 mints for up to 10,000 eligible trainers — most of them will not get one. Wave 4 is the realistic wave for ranks 1,001–20,000 — but if Waves 1–3 sell out it opens with 4,000 left, not 5,000, and Wave 5 may open to nothing. Treat every wave past the first as a race, and every earlier wave you qualify for as the one that matters.
The September 10 checklist — now closed
The snapshot was taken at 01:00 UTC on September 10, so the first three items below are settled one way or the other; the checker shows the result. The last two still matter for mint day.
- Pre-register and verify. An unverified account is not on any whitelist, however high its rank. If you haven’t signed up yet, register at yakkamon.com (that link carries our code YAKKA-UDBVPX) and complete verification the same day.
- Be at the rank you want. The lines that matter are 1,000, 10,000, 20,000 and 50,000. Check your position on our deposit leaderboard and inside yakkamon.com — if you sit just outside a line, the fastest way across is a single $FLOWER deposit, made early in the week. - Deposit at least 5 $FLOWER if you are counting on Wave 2 or Wave 4. It is not a fee — the 5 $FLOWER is fully withdrawable or spendable once the game is live — it exists to make multi-accounting expensive. - Set up a Ronin wallet. The mint is on Ronin only. Base deposits count for points and for the 5 $FLOWER condition, but the wallet that mints has to be a Ronin wallet. Install the official Ronin Wallet (browser extension or mobile app), write down the recovery phrase offline, and link that wallet to your Yakkamon account.
- If you play on Ronin, check the Ronin Wave lists. Wave 3 is separate from all of this: 2,000 mints for wallets active in Axie Infinity, Craft World, Pixels, Ronkeverse, Moku or Sunflower Land over the 90 days to September 8, no rank or deposit required. Minting is worth 250 points. That is more than three referrals, for one click, and it lands on your score before the leaderboard finalizes — so the mint can improve the rank your airdrop is paid on, not just get you an NFT.
Mint day: step by step
- Get RON for gas in advance. Gas is paid in RON, Ronin’s native token. A small amount covers a mint; buy it inside the Ronin Wallet or on an exchange that supports Ronin withdrawals, and do it days ahead rather than at wave open.
- Open the official mint page at marketplace.roninchain.com/launchpads/mints/yakkamon — from your own bookmark, the official docs or this page, never from a link in a DM or a reply. The same page serves every wave.
- Connect the Ronin wallet you linked to your Yakkamon account. The whitelist is checked against the wallet, so a different wallet, even one you own, may show as not eligible.
- Be there before your wave opens. Outside Wave 1 supply goes to the fastest clicks. Have the page loaded, the wallet unlocked and the gas already in it.
- Mint, then approve the transaction in your wallet. Wait for it to confirm on-chain — the hidden NFT will appear in your Ronin wallet and on the Ronin marketplace under your address.
- Come back for each wave you qualify for. One NFT per wave per account. A top-1,000 trainer with 5 $FLOWER deposited has four chances across September 14–18 — five if the same wallet is also on the Ronin Wave list.
Wave 1 is the exception. If you are in the top 1,000 your mint is guaranteed and you can take it at your own pace on the 14th. Everyone else should assume their wave empties in minutes.
What is hidden inside
Every mint is a sealed pull from the same 10,000. Here is what the pool holds, per the official page and the Yakkapedia:

So roughly one mint in 147 is a Legendary, and one in 85 is Rare or better. The honest expectation is an Uncommon with unique stats — a usable worker from day one, and an NFT you can hold, trade or sell. Anything above that is a bonus. After you mint
- It is tradable straight away. Hidden NFTs can be bought and sold on the Ronin marketplace before the reveal, and after it. Selling blind means selling a 0.68% Legendary ticket; buying blind means paying for one.
- Reveal is October 14. All 10,000 flip at once, together with 1,500 extra hidden eggs handed out at special events — 11,500 revealed in total. That is before the trainer leaderboard finalizes, so you will know what you hold while you can still climb.
- Deposit it into the game at early access (November/December). The marketplace, auctions and $FLOWER withdrawals open at Chapter 0, one month after early access.
- This is the ongoing Yakkamon collection. Monsters released later join the same collection, so your mint is not a one-off “genesis” side set.
The mint and the airdrop are separate. The September 10 snapshot builds the mint whitelists only. The Genesis airdrop to the top 5,000 keeps running on the live leaderboard, finalizes one week before early access, and lands automatically three days later — no mint, no wallet action. You can win both.
Stay safe: it is free, so anyone charging is a scam
- The only cost is RON gas. A “mint page” asking for a price, a deposit or an approval of your whole wallet is not Yakkamon.
- Mint only at the official page: marketplace.roninchain.com/launchpads/mints/yakkamon. Bookmark it now and check the domain character by character — fake launchpads with near-identical addresses appear around every popular mint.
- The team will not DM you a link, an early-access mint or a “whitelist fix”. Nobody legitimate ever needs your recovery phrase.
- Keep only the RON you need for gas in the minting wallet if you are new to Ronin, and read every wallet prompt before you approve it.
Mistakes that will cost you a mint
- Verifying after September 10. The lists are already built.
- Sitting at rank 1,004 or 10,050 on the 9th and assuming it holds. It is a deposit week; ranks move.
- Depositing 5 $FLOWER on the 11th for Wave 2. It needed to be there for the snapshot — do it now.
- Having $FLOWER on Base but no Ronin wallet linked. Points yes, mint no.
- Buying RON at 23:58 UTC for a 00:00 wave. Exchanges and bridges take time.
- Minting once in Wave 1 and going to bed. You may have three more waves to claim.
