GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS

How Yakkamon actually works, system by system, in plain English — the idle half where your monsters farm around the clock, and the active half where you hunt, craft and battle. Built from the official docs, what the team said on the dev streams, and the official screenshots.

Updated September 11, 2026 — the official Clock post: the in-game day turns every few real hours on a universal clock (no timezones, no resetting), some Yakkamon carry traits that peak at certain hours, seasons gate what can be gathered and crafted, special weather events break the spawn rules, and Legendary appearances happen in real time — everyone gets the same window. The September 8 roster update (twenty-three, reordered — see the sheet) and the September 5 Hunting update both stand. Start with Day, Night & Weather →

THE WHOLE GAME, ONE PAGE

Revised September 11, 2026 — the Day, Night & Seasons panel is rebuilt for the official Clock post: a day every few real hours on one universal clock, hour traits (the night shift is a stat), seasonal gather-and-craft gates, random weather events, and Legendary windows that run in real time for everyone. The September 5 Hunting panel stands. Twenty-two panels.

Field guide poster explaining how Yakkamon works, revised September 11, 2026: the idle and active halves, the six-step core loop, what makes an individual Yakkamon worth keeping, rarity set at species level, type locking, the work and stamina cycle, plot upkeep from use not absence, storage bins, monster care, how boosts stack, the Genesis Legendaries' utilities and auras with small and large AOE, breeding limits and genetics, your base and gym, the three-layer world of tiles, Regions and Chapters, logistics between Regions, a universal clock that turns every few real hours with hour traits and weather events, seasonal gather-and-craft gates, hunting grounds on the in-game clock with affectionate, greedy and angry wild Yakkamon and Legendaries that appear unannounced, crafting with lures and bait, the lane-based 3v3 auto-battler with in-fight actions, the two-track economy, progression and endgame, and the mechanics not yet confirmed.

The whole game on one sheet, revised after the official Yakkapedia and the free-mint stream. On a phone, read the full field guide instead — same material, laid out for a small screen. Sourced from the official docs, the dev streams and official screenshots; made by us, not the Yakkamon team.

THE ROSTER SO FAR

Every creature the team has officially shown, in one sheet — no names, no types, no rarities yet, so a portrait says nothing about what one can gather.

Official Yakkamon roster sheet headed YAKKAMONS, showing twenty-three creature portraits: three full rows of six and a fourth row of five.
Twenty-three of the expected 50–60, as of September 8 — portraits only, with names and types still to come. What can and can’t be read into it →

Treat mock-up numbers as placeholders. Several screenshots circulating are UI mock-ups rather than tuned builds — the 999,999 currency figures and the level 99 cap are filler, not confirmed limits. Anything above sourced to a mock-up can still change before launch — and the August 21 battle screenshot was an internal dev gym, not the finished battle screen.
